Iquitos Jungle Adventure

Reception at the airport or hotel at 09:00 hrs. Brief pedestrian city tour through the city center visiting the Main Square, Matriz Church, Iron House and the Tarapacá Boardwalk (Boulevard).

Transfer to the Bellavista Nanay river port to appreciate the famous Nanay Bridge, the largest in Peru, tasting of local Amazonian gastronomy with the famous suri.

We board our private river boat to start the adventure. Union of the Nanay and Amazon Rivers and see the characteristic color of each river to then continue the journey through the Majestic Amazon River to the community of Independencia and reach the Viewpoint of the same name and observe our Natural Wonder of the World "Amazon River".

Then we continue the trip for approx 1 hour until we reach our Lodge, located on the left bank of the Amazon River. Assignment of bungalow with private bath and shower. Brief recognition walk of the area (jungle). Lunch.

In the afternoon we will visit the Yagua native community, where we will learn about their culture, typical dances, crafts and the famous blowgun target shooting.

Search for gray dolphins and with great luck the pink dolphin in the Amazon River. Amazonian sunset. Optionally we can swim in the beaches formed by the Amazon river (subject to weather conditions).

Return to the Lodge. Dinner. Time to share the myths and legends of the jungle with our expert guide. Overnight at the indicated time.

At 05:30 hrs, we will get up to enjoy a beautiful natural spectacle, we board our boat to navigate and observe the fabulous Amazonian sunrise over the Amazon River (excellent photo shots), observation of bird varieties. Return to the Lodge for breakfast.

At the indicated time, we will navigate the Amazon to visit Monkey Island and observe varieties of primates in their natural habitat (interacting or touching them is prohibited). Return to the Lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon we will go to an exceptional place "Yanayacu Natural Paradise" an exceptional place where we can appreciate the beauty of our jungle in all its splendor, ideal for luxury postcards, walk through the jungle to observe the famous giant tree (Lupuna), observation of flora and fauna in its natural habitat.

Return to the Lodge crossing the Amazon River, prior to arrival we will enjoy a beautiful Amazonian sunset. Arrival at the Lodge. Dinner.

Night walk to explore the jungle in search of tarantulas, scorpions and varieties of amphibians among other species, while we immerse ourselves in the natural symphony of the jungle. Return to the Lodge and overnight. Optional campfire night on the banks of the Amazon River (subject to weather conditions). Overnight.

At 07:30 hrs. Breakfast. At the indicated time, navigation by Amazon River to a specific point in the jungle and start the botanical walk through the jungle and appreciate the flora and fauna in their habitat. We will make a careful recognition of different medicinal plants. Return to the Lodge. Lunch.

In the afternoon we will do the recreational fishing activity for piranhas, sardines and other varieties. Amazonian sunset.

Optionally we can swim in the beaches formed by the Amazon river, we will do the famous Amazonian mud therapy (subject to weather conditions). Return to the Lodge. Dinner. Overnight at the indicated time.

07:30hrs At the indicated time we will visit the town of San Rafael knowing their daily activities, customs and its inhabitants. Visit to the butterfly farm where we will see diverse species of butterflies and their fascinating life cycle. Return to the Lodge to enjoy our respective lunch.

In the afternoon we will make a boat trip to navigate the Amazon River until reaching a shore, disembark to go into the jungle and develop survival tips and recognition of edible plants and fruits in case of getting lost.

Return to the lodge at the indicated time. Rest and relax appreciating the Amazon River. Dinner. Optional (camping night in the jungle). Overnight.

07:30hrs At the indicated time we will visit the town of San Rafael knowing their daily activities, customs and its inhabitants. Visit to the butterfly farm where we will see diverse species of butterflies and their fascinating life cycle. Return to the Lodge to enjoy our respective lunch.

Return to the city of Iquitos and on the way we will visit the Fundo Pedrito to appreciate the hatchery of paiches and alligators to then continue and make a final stop at an animal Rescue Center where we can appreciate the sloth, macaw, snakes among other animals.

We will end our tour appreciating a beautiful Amazonian sunset over the Amazon and Nanay Rivers (subject to weather conditions). Transfer to your hotel or the airport. End of services.
