Enjoy the most famous trekking route in South America. The classic 4-day Inca Trail will take you through stunning Andean landscapes, mysterious cloud forests, and archaeological sites to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu.

Day 1: Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Wayllabamba

We start our trip early in the morning (05:30 a.m.). After picking up all our passengers we will head towards Ollantaytambo, where those who wish can have breakfast. Then we will continue to Km. 82 Piscacucho (2,700 m.a.s.l.), where the first checkpoint is located.

The 2-hour hike will begin, arriving at the Inca archaeological site of Patallacta (2,750 m.a.s.l.). After the visit we will walk for 45 minutes where we will have lunch prepared by our experienced chef and his team.

After lunch we will continue our hike for 1.5 hours to our Wayllabamba campsite (3,000 m.a.s.l.). We will have a well-deserved rest, afternoon tea and dinner.

Route: Km. 82 - Wayllabamba (8 km, 4.00 hours of hiking).

Day 2: Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca Pass - Pacaymayo

In the morning we will have breakfast starting at 05:30 a.m. We will continue the 45-minute hike to the second checkpoint Wayllabamba and then begin a gradual ascent of 1.5 hours (4 km) to our first resting point, TRES PIEDRAS.

We will continue the ascent (4 km) to our second resting point Llulluchapampa (3,800 m.a.s.l.), and then the hike (4 km) to the Warmiwañusca pass (4,215 m.a.s.l.). We will make a 2.5-hour descent to the Pacaymayo campsite (3,600 m.a.s.l.) where we will spend the night.

Route: Wayllabamba - Warmiwañusca Pass - Pacaymayo (12 km, 8 hours).

Day 3: Pacaymayo - Wiñayhuayna

This section is 16 km long. The first archaeological site we will visit will be Runcurakay (3,750 m.a.s.l.), strategically located for surveillance of the valley. We continue to Runcurakay Pass (3,900 m.a.s.l.) and descend 1.5 hours towards Sayacmarka.

Then we will continue to the lunch point Chaquicocha. We will resume the hike towards Puyupatamarca (3,750 m.a.s.l.) and then begin a 3-hour descent down stairs to our Wiñayhuayna campsite, where we will have a farewell ceremony for our porters.

Route: Pacaymayo - Wiñayhuayna (16 km, 12 hours).

Day 4: Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu - Cusco

We will wake up at 3:30 a.m. for our breakfast, then descend to the checkpoint. We will walk 1.5 hours to Inti Punku (Sun Gate) where we will take a 20-minute break with a majestic view of Machu Picchu. We will begin the 1-hour descent to the citadel.

We will receive a 2-hour tour full of history with our guide and you will have free time to take photos and explore. From there we will return to Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch and visit the hot springs (optional). Finally, you will head to the train station towards Ollantaytambo and from there by bus to Cusco.
