Huchuy Qosqo 3 Days / 2 Nights

We pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. and take you by bus to the Patabamba Inca site, about 40 minutes from the city of Cusco. We will start walking gently, climbing for 3 hours to the Qori Cocha lagoon where we will be able to see an incredible sacred valley. Your guide will explain the Inca history and the Spanish conquest in the area.

Qori Cocha is our lunch spot. Afterwards, we will begin walking for 2 hours to our campsite in Huchuy Qosqo. During the hike, we will see that the landscape is high puna, covered with Andean grass (Ichu). It will be possible to observe birds such as Andean geese and varieties of hummingbirds. We will spend the night in tents.

You will be woken up with a hot cup of coca tea and then enjoy a tasty breakfast. We begin the tour at the Huchuy Qosqo archaeological complex (3,600 m.a.s.l.), which rises above the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will see sacred temples, storehouses, agricultural terraces, and an Inca reservoir.

After the explanation and free time, we will begin our walk downhill towards the Sacred Valley (approx. 2 hours) until we reach the town of Lamay (2,800 m.a.s.l.) next to the Urubamba River, where we will have lunch. Then we will take a bus to Ollantaytambo (1 hour) and finally the train to Aguas Calientes.

In the early morning, around 4:30 a.m., we will ascend towards the majestic Inca city of Machu Picchu. There we will have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours. Then you will have free time to explore it on your own, or visit the Inti Punku, the Temple of the Moon, or climb Huayna Picchu (if you have a ticket).

In the afternoon we will return to Aguas Calientes to take the return train, followed by final transport to Cusco (exact train time will be confirmed upon booking).
