Rainbow Mountain - Vinicunca

Pick up from your Hotel in Cusco between 3:45 am and 4:00 am. We will travel about 3 hours in a private transport to Quesiuno located at 4,320 masl (start of the trek). Breakfast will be provided once we arrive.

We begin our hike from 4200 to 5100 masl led by our expert guide, here we can see the stunning colors that are natural formations of minerals from ages that give colors to the mountain. We will enjoy beautiful views of red mountains, streams, herds of alpacas and llamas, and the south side of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain. We will walk through small traditional Andean villages and see the local people in their colorful dresses.

After a total hike of approximately 3-4 hours, we will finally arrive at this viewpoint to have an impressive view of the Rainbow Mountains located at 5,100 masl. We will have time to explore the area, rest, take photos and soak in the atmosphere (we will spend approximately 30-45 minutes at the top) and enjoy our packed lunch.

Then we start our return by going back downhill the way we came. The hike will take 3 hours. Our private van will be waiting for the return trip to Cusco (3 hours) and we will drop you off at your hotel. The approximate arrival time is between 7 and 8 pm.
