Travel Itinerary
An unforgettable journey through the high jungle and the Andes of the Peruvian Northeast. Discover the magic of the Chachapoyas culture, its impressive waterfalls and mysterious sarcophagi in 5 days and 4 nights of pure adventure.
Day 1: Arrival in Chachapoyas and City Tour
Reception and transfer to the hotel in the charming city of Chachapoyas.
In the afternoon, City Tour to explore the Plaza de Armas, its streets of mansions with colonial balconies, and the Luya Urco viewpoint.
Overnight in Chachapoyas.
Day 2: Majestic Kuélap Fortress
Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure to the town of Nuevo Tingo, where we will board the modern Cable Car system that will take us to the Kuélap Fortress, known as the "Machu Picchu of the North".
Guided tour among the ancient circular stone walls of the ancient Chachapoyas.
Overnight in Chachapoyas.
Day 3: Imposing Gocta Waterfall
Breakfast at the hotel.
Transfer to the picturesque town of Cocachimba. From here, we will begin a trek through a cloud forest, observing diverse flora and fauna, until reaching the base of the Gocta Waterfall (771 masl).
Enjoy the immense waterfall and return to Cocachimba for lunch.
Overnight in Chachapoyas.
Day 4: Karajía Sarcophagi and Quiocta Cavern
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit to the enigmatic Karajía Sarcophagi (Purunmachus), tombs over 2 meters high located on inaccessible cliffs.
In the afternoon, exploration of the deep Quiocta Cavern, famous for its whimsical formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
Overnight in Chachapoyas.
Day 5: Farewell and Transfer
Breakfast at the hotel.
Free time in the morning to taste local coffee or do last-minute shopping.
At the coordinated time, transfer to the Jaén airport or bus terminal for your return trip.
